Article G- Finance
Section 1. Authorization of Expenditures.
The Treasurer may authorize expenditures for supplies or services
for the Association in an amount not in excess of Twenty- five-Hundred
Dollars ($2,500) in any one transaction without the prior approval
of the Board of Directors, provided the general program or project
for which this expenditure is made had previously been approved
by the Board of Directors.
Section 2. Expenditures Requiring Prior Approval
by Board of Directors.
All new ventures of the Association, such as the publication of
a booklet, book or film, the handling of any sales item, the purchase
of objects for donation, the development of interpretative facilities
in any National Park Service area, or the purchase or alienation
of land, shall be approved by the Board of Directors, and expenditures
for such purposes must be specifically approved by the Board before
the Treasurer may make disbursements in these matters.
Section 3. Obligating Documents.
When the execution of any contract, conveyance, or other instrument
has been authorized without specification as to the interest of
the Association in such instrument or instruments, the President,
or Vice President and the Secretary may execute the same in the
name and in behalf of the Association and may affix the Association's
seal thereto. The Board of Directors shall have power to designate
the officers and agents who shall have authority to execute any
instrument in behalf of the Association.
Section 4. Deposits.
All funds of the Association shall be deposited by the Treasurer
in a Federally-chartered bank or banks, or the Treasury Department
Federal Credit Union, as approved by the Board of Directors and
in the name of the Association. The Treasurer shall not invest the
Association's monies without the approval of the Board of Directors.
