Future Activities

TREASURY HISTORY BOOK will contain extensive historical images of the Building, with text on its construction. Written by architectural historian Pamela J. Scott, the book will present a separate chapter on the history of each of the four wings of the Building. Also, there will be a chapter on the original Treasury Office in Washington, DC, completed in 1800 and destroyed by arsonists in 1833. THA's Publication Committee is now finalizing arrangements with a publisher and current plans are for the book to be published in mid-2010.
